That may be because, this time, you don't actually have a point. Of course, we all know that there is no 1/1-77 EP show date.
Yet, the pic was taken...etc, etc.
My guess is that Elvis is being "energetic" (laughing) because of the "gay routine" he and Charlie used to play out during AYLT.

Depends on whether "January 1, 1977" modifies the word "concert" or the word "photo." If the former, then the title is inaccurate. If the latter, then the title is accurate. We also can look to whether the title uses the word "concert" as a noun or as the adjective of "photo." If the former, then the title is inaccurate. If the latter, then the title is accurate. Having said all of this, who the hell cares!

You are the one playing games with even making this a point of contention. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the title of this thread if the photo was taken after midnight. If it was, it IS a January 1, 1977 concert photo.
No wonder people get frustrated with the pedantic behaviour on this board. The concert was dec 31 but the photo was clearly taken after midnight on January 1. Get over it.
The reason Doc is correct about the topic title being in error is because when members search the forum for concert photos for a concert Elvis gave on December 31, 1976 this photo will or may not show up in the search here/google, etc.. Although it was taken after midnight it is very important to have the correct topic titles for "reference" purposes.
This is what makes FECC the #1 Elvis Presley forum in the world, and it is members like drjohncarpenter that makes the difference.

Elvis was on stage on January 1st 77 during his Pittsburgh show on December 31st 76 . And what a great show that turned out to be .
On his previous New years ve show at Pontiac , it was mayhem as he was on a 2 level stage and the audio feedback to the audience buffed off the rafters so to speak with his band away from him .
I bet he detested this immensly .Mind you on this date in 75 he played to his second largest attendance of his career at 1 event .

I guess that was a typo, because he world's population in 1973 was about four billion. The number who actually saw the show via satellite was probably around two or three hundred millions.

When I see a photo from this concert, I think of the Pittsburgh New Year's Eve 12/31/76 concert regardless of whether it was taken before or after midnight. He walked out on stage on 12/31/76 and that's the date of the concert.
Although saying it's a photo from 1/1/77 is technically correct it merely muddies the water - not unlike Midnight Vegas shows being attributed to the next day.
Let's keep it simple - the photo is from the Pittsburgh 12/31/76 concert.
It did not say The January 1 1977 concert. The concert pic was taken on January 1 1977.
