That photo was taken in February 1969 at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. Here is the superb topic which reveals all, and contains these same press shots in high-quality.

Elvis Meets Jeannie C. Riley Again --> August 1969 !

It's obvious the blond woman is either one of the two- A fan getting an autograph (which is why Elvis is holding an ink pen) or a reporter who attended the press conference.
And quite possibly the same for the lady in the first picture also.

The photo is from August 1, 1969, but the story of Carol Taylor going to Las Vegas and meeting Elvis is from August-September 1974, so it's not Taylor in the photo. However, can you check the magazine and see if there's any kind of credit for page 31?

Thanks for sharing the complete article.

Usually, magazine photo credits are printed in the first few pages or the very back. Does this "Elvis The King" magazine have any such listings?

Again, the photo is from August 1, 1969, but the story of Carol Taylor going to Las Vegas and meeting Elvis is from August-September 1974.

Can anyone further identify these ladies?

This one is noted as being with Gia Ferrara. Who is she?

This one I once saw in a Presley book. The be-wigged gal was identified as "Priscilla."

It's not his wife. Who is she?

Thank you, music lovers. :-)

I don't think this helps much, Doc, but both these women can be seen in this August 1 photo (below). There is a better (alternative?) quality photo here on FECC but I couldnt find it.

Gia Ferrara is in the first row, right of centre (3 along from Ann Moses' left), and the mystery blonde is near the rear, with just her blonde hair visible.

Reposting from another thread dealing with this subject:

Did the lady in the photo become Carol Tyler when it was used in the article about her 1974 meeting with Elvis? I get the feeling the magazine, having no actual pictures from the meeting, used the first stock picture of a woman with Elvis they had to illustrate the story.

This is almost certainly the most likely scenario. The magazine had no idea the photo and the story were 5 years apart.
