Not sure how you arrived at the 8-01-1969 date, but the photo is definitely from August 1969.

It not retouched, in that Elvis' face is fine, but it is reversed. Here's the corrected view:

How does "August 1, 1969" seem obvious? Could it not be August 2, or 3, or 4?
