Post here your Elvis' pictures

January 8, 1958

Thu Jan 10, 2013 10:48 am

Just stumbled upon this picture of Elvis and a young girl (I think she might be the girl from the Polio Poster from '55, not sure though) smiling happy and enjoying a precious moment. Can anyone confirm that this was taken around the ocassion where the March of Dimes '57 pictures were made?

Eight-year-old Mary Kosloski had a date with Elvis Presley Jan. 8, 1958, and he kept her waiting for more than two hours. The Collierville girl, who was the national March of Dimes poster child in 1955, seemed to forgive all when Elvis appeared and told her: "If you were 10 years older, honey, I wouldn't let you go."

And arching his back. It's a sweet shot.

I wonder where 63 year-old Mary Kosloski is today, and what became of her life. Perhaps she overcame her disability.

We apparently see UPI reporter Leo Soroca in this photo. He was at the MDQ jam on December 4, 1956, too.

Funny, you will find no mention of her 1958 Elvis experience on her Facebook page.
