Don't recall seeing this pic before and thought some might enjoy seeing it. Recently sold on eBay - Promo Poster 24''x31''.

Neat -- it feels like I've seen it before, but maybe it was a similar portrait.

Me too! But I’m not sure where I've seen it before. I don't recall seeing that Poster at SINGER stores. Other than the SINGER Presents Elvis Banners hanging throughout the store, I only recall seeing SINGER Presents Elvis Sings Flaming Star And Others LPs with this RCA 8x10 bonus photo.

I believe total price for LP and photo was $1.50.


Also could purchase just the bonus photo at Record Stores for twenty-five cents.

There's no proof that the perticular item auctioned and that somebody paid so much for, was ever used originally as any sort of promo item, There's no mention of Singer, RCA etc anywhere on it. Just a regular $10 poster probably.

I'm thinking the same, and it's unfortunate the buyer is not a FECC member, we could have advised to pass on it.

Glad to hear people get something out of it - and yes, I work on it as well.

It was something we thought wasn't covered too well in the Elvis world yet, so we decided to give it a shot. It's a constant 'work in progress' so all help is more than appreciated, be it better quality/unmarked versions of photos or just general information regarding the 'sessions'.

You can see the actual topic for the site in this very section (the FECC mods were kind enough to pin it - click HERE for quick access). Any suggestions, spotted mistakes, new photos - just post them there and we'll fix things accordingly.
