New to me. I had seen similar shots of this meeting but never this one.
With Edwin Edwards. March 4, 1974.

Thanks a lot! That makes this the third picture from this meeting to surface recently. :smt023

But we still have only 1 picture from this days concert, and none from the March 7 concert...on the other hand, there are heaps available from March 8...

Come to think of it, many of Elvis' Louisiana concerts (Monroe 74 & 75, Lake Charles 75, Baton Rouge 74 & 77, Alexandria 77 etc.) are badly represented in pictures...hopefully some more will surface soon...

Julian Grant,

Your photo is new to me. Would you please tell me when and where it was taken?

Thanks,

latebloomer

Elvis Presley was an explorer of vast new landscapes of dream and illusion. He was a man who refused to be told that the best of his dreams would not come true, who refused to be defined by anyone else's perceptions. This is the goal of democracy, the journey on which every American hero sets out. That Elvis made so much of the journey on his own is reason enough to remember him with the honor and love we reserve for the bravest among us. Such men made the only maps we can trust.

Elvis looks terrific here. From March through mid July he looked really healthy, comparable to mid June 1972. Probably the last time he was at a reasonable weight.
