As late as October, a film with Joe Pasternak was still being touted in the press.

Ironically, Mireille never made a film for Joe. In late 1966, Pasternak was executive producer of "Penelope," a comedy starring Natalie Wood, which may have been originally for Mathieu in some fashion. She did make a fleeting appearance in a 1967 Russian drama called "Zhurnalist."

I doubt Penelope would make a Film star out of Mireille Mathieu.
It's one of the most " unfunniest" comedies I have ever seen.

Still, "Penelope" did have Natalie Wood in the lead, one of the most beautiful actresses of the decade.
