Supposedly, that is not correct. Maybe bripet56 can confirm?

It looks like 1950-51 to me because Elvis isn't full grown yet.

Sorry Doc, can't help you out on this one.
As far as I know the photo shows Elvis with Jeanette and David Fruchter but I have no idea if this is right or wrong.

Here is a message from Harold Fruchter (July 9, 2010)
... While we did live at 462 Alabama, and my parents had a close relationship with Elvis and his parents, the woman in the picture is definitely not my mother. The other guy is certainly not my brother David since he was about 3 years old when that picture was taken. Anyway, it was great seeing these photos. [Harold Fruchter] [Elvis Australia]

Thanks Mississippi, I'll change my info on the photo.

Wasn't this always said to be Elvis with his home room teacher and Buzzy Forbess?? One of you will know immediately the teacher's name - off the top of my head, is it Mildred Scrivener, or was she one of his Tupelo teachers?

Interesting.

IIRC, Mildred Scrivener was Elvis' 12th grade history teacher and his homeroom teacher.

She wrote a piece on him for the March 1957 issue of TV Radio Mirror, called "My Boy Elvis."

Anyone have it? If so, how about a scan. Let's see what Mildred looked like.
