He really wasn't healthfully slim. He got slim for the show by crash dieting and injections of pregnant women's urine. He actually looks a little too skinny there. It would have been better if he was a little heavier but in good shape from working out and eating healthier.

I wonder why he didn't try that again before the CBS taping in 77? I really believe most of the stereotypical "fat,70's Elvis" crap, was a result of the CBS special that aired in Oct.
