Elvis and fan, November 1968
Whoever this gal is, she was definitely a big fan -- she's got a copy of the SINGER LP, issued that November to Singer stores only.

In her hands, on that slab of vinyl, she holds one of Presley's very greatest recordings, the then-only five months-old live take of "Tiger Man." And it also has his kick-ass version of "Too Much Monkey Business," you know, the one with the quiet anti-Vietnam War reference.
I wonder if Elvis even knew what was on that LP?

Re: '68 Candids!
I was very fortunate to acquire Singer Presents Elvis Singing Flaming Star and Others (RCA, 1968) back in the early 90's!

Re: '68 Candids!
Doc, my eyes are indeed growing old! I just had a closer look to the image that you uploaded and ended up noticing it is indeed, an alternate to the ones I uploaded! Pretty impressive to have a photographer take 5 shots (I wonder how many more were taken!) of someone with EP! Thankyou, for uploading DJC!

Beautiful shots! Thanks for sharing.

Note that these photos are mere days away from the broadcast of the NBC-TV Special.
The comeback was about to hit millions of fans in a most glorious fashion.

Re: '68 Candids!
The pic you posted is awesome Doc, didn't mean to leave you out, my mistake. Thanks for the added info as well. The one constant in 1968, apart from looking incredible, was how happy he looked!drjohncarpenter wrote:Mine wasn't bad, either.Joe Car wrote:He sure does!
