These are terrific. Thank you for sharing them.

Was your friend sitting with the orchestra?

This was a great tour for Elvis.

Hey Doc -- sorry for the delay in responding to your question. My friend was one of those fans in Memphis who had the good fortune to actually meet and get to hang around some with Elvis and the guys. I know he spends some time on this site though I'm not sure if he posts (I must admit I don't even know what his screen name is if he, indeed, has one). I don't want to seem secretive but I'll respect his privacy and let him post his name if he wants to. Frankly it's not one that would be recognizable to people anyway. But he is the real deal -- and a very nice guy.

So ... was he sitting in Guercio's orchestra?

That last photo brings back the memories. We were seated way over on the risers at stage left, and could not for the life of us figure out what the red thing hanging down was from his suit. Something was clearly visible when Elvis would move around toward the band. We'd no knowledge that he used capes onstage at that time, and my Mom talked all through the first song about that funny red thing swinging around. Only to find out later it was in fact his cape that came loose during the opening number.

Good times, folks. Such good times.

srlogicom, THANKS so much for posting these great shots.

Your friend most likely sat somewhere among the fans behind the stage. He would have a very good position to take those great shots from behind the stage.
