Great 77 Photo

Post by DarrylMac »

Here's a great photo, which I assume is from Feb 77, which seems to really capture a moment of fun between Elvis and Charlie. Don't know why, we know the trouble he was in, but it just seems to be a priceless Elvis expression.

The way he is looking at Charlie is like Son you are to short more ways than one .

Fantastic photo from (c) Gerald Berry.
Thanks Fransesc. I always mention your great site if I got the photo from there - this time, it was just one I came across elsewhere. It's a really good set of pics.

That's cool, I'm not accusing. I know photos get distributed as sonas I posted them in my page, and it is fine too but they should name the source like I try to do.

Gerald Berry did take great photos !

Darryl, I am sorry to say I don't think Elvis looks "great" in this or many of the photos taken on this tour.

He certainly looked better as the tour progressed, but I don't disagree, although some of the photos on the 21st are very good. I know he didn't look his best doc, but would you at least meet me halfway, and agree that he looks like he might be having some fun onstage?

Well, he looked like he was "having fun" on June 21 in Rapid City, too.

I guess Phoenix78 was referring to all the negative posters on here.

Normally I tend to side with the likes of Cryo', known for making a case for the musical expression of late period Elvis, warts and all.

But I share the sense that its a stretch to call this a great shot. And frankly, his eyes never looked the same after that eye work he had done. It's an okay shot but nothing much more.
