Same day - August 1969, Las Vegas. But what is the exact date?

Well ... first of all, there is no dispute that Elvis looked INCREDIBLE in July and August 1969.

However, these photos are all from the same evening in mid-July 1969 -- taken somewhere outside RCA Hollywood. Presley was rehearsing with his new rhythm section (Burton - Wilkinson - Scheff - Tutt - Muhoberac) for his upcoming Las Vegas debut on July 31.

For the naysayers -- look carefully at the first photo. Behind Elvis is the notation Sec. 80.71.4 -- that's Los Angeles Municipal County code.

Tired, maybe. However, he had to be on a natural high getting ready for these Vegas shows in 1969. He was on the brink of being crowned "King" once again.
