They had a lot of fun in about a week's worth of dating (Oct-Nov 1956).

Re: Elvis with Natalie Wood
When later asked her opinion of Elvis as a boyfriend, she simply intimated that his expertise lay in singing !

Re: Elvis with Natalie Wood
Natalie was alot more sophisticated than Elvis. She was a star practically from birth. She had been around the block a few times, and ELvis was still somewhat naive about the whole Hollywood scene. Since Natalie was so much more worldly than Elvis at the time, she must have thought Elvis was alittle boring for her standards.
Nick may have been in the way, but so was Elvis' mother according to one the Natalie Wood books. Natalie also had the reputation of being a serial dater, in which she was linked to as many as a dozen guys between 1955 and 1957.
She was a great actress, and its a shame she wasn't cast for something like, "Wild in the country" or "Kind Creole". She would have been great in either movie.

When I was a child I was a dreamer,
I read comic books and I was the hero of the comic book
And I saw movies and I was the hero in the movie
So every dream I´ve ever dreamed has come true a hundred times.
