New to me.
I'd say: October 1976, with one of his Denver police buddies.

But that's just my best guess....

IIRC, it's from October-November 1976 in the TV room at Graceland.

Its from his moptop days, Feb 64 to be exact, when he first got here from Liverpool and went on the Ed Sullivan show

Sorry Doc, gotta correct you on this one. With that haircut it's gotta be from the spring of 1976.
Elvis wears the same police-uniform he wore in Denver during his January 1976 visit with the police force.

Thanks Stan for dating trhis photo and putting a name on the police officer. I visited the Beale St. police museum in NOvember 1991 but concentrated on 1956 back then so I must've missed out totally on this one.

Sincerely
Brian

Nice work!

Later that night Elvis would cut two of the better songs from the first Graceland sessions -- "Never Again" and "Love COming Down."

Again he looks better off stage than on at this time.
As for Never Again, it's the second worst song of the sessions, behind Last Farewell.
Love Coming Down is good though.

With ghastly tracks like "Solitare," "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" and "The Last Farewell" on the list from February 1976, "Never Again" is indeed far from the bottom. The undubbed version issued in 1979 is actually likeable, save the ending.
