I found this tremendous picture from 1960 on the tcb-world. Does anyone have a clue what's the story behind it? Brian? Funky? Doc?

Kindest regards, Joern

Hm, seemed to be easy :D Thanks anyhow.

At which room was the press conference and who put those posters and pictures on the wall?

To my knowledge, the press conference was held in Vernon's office at the back of Graceland. If you visit the house these days, they have it set up as it was back then, with the press conference footage playing.

I know nothing about those portraits though..

As I understand it, the pictures you see were NOT posters,
but rather oil-painting that were done by fans and sent to Graceland while Elvis was in the army, and the portraits were on display at the time of the 1960 press conference...

It was a competition to find a painting that was "most-like-him-but-not-quite-capturing-his-true-essence".

These were the winners.......
