Posters - backstage and 50's appearance?

I came across these posters and didn't recognize the pictures. Has anyone seen these previously and have an idea about possibly when and where they may have been taken. Perhaps the second is from one of the early TV appearances but I didn't recognize the outfit as being from one.

Also I was wondering if the first was actually in color or had been colorized.

More precisely the second pic is from the rehearsal for the March 17, 1956 Dorsey show.
