Ger - your book gives the date as 14 Feb 1956 but you must have meant to put 4 Feb. You also have included another very cool photo taken at the same time. Do we know who the photographer was? Not Wertheimer.

It's a great cover made from a unposed moment.

... Im a louse at remembering dates, and didnt find my Hottest Thing

book this morning. I believe the photographer to be one on the

CBS payroll. Theres many Dorsey shows material published in

the early years, and they dont come from Wertheimer, but from

CBS. Half a dozen are featured in Elvis, Album Of Juke Box Favourites,

from 56. After I had finished my book on the Sullivan shows, I did

try to do one on the Dorsey shows. But I never got a reply back

from either CBS or the Jackie Gleason Estate... Joe Tunzi, you

wanna give it a try?

Thanks for that information. I have 2 versions of the '56 juke box favorites sheet music book. The US one with the pink cover does not have the photos you mention but the UK version with a red cover does have 3 or 4 that probably come from CBS.

It's a shame you never got anywhere with your book idea. But I'm very happy with all the photos you did find and publish. 8)

It would be nice to know the name of that photographer because that shot and cover are great.

There might be a credit on the back cover of the EP. Anyone have a copy?
