This plane should have landed in Europe with Elvis on board.
Elvis did inform if a trip to Europe was possible with his plane, and it was!

Thanks for this pic!

You're right Robert.

It is ironic that the plane made it to Europe and Elvis did not.

What are the story about the plane beeing in Europe?

I remember Vernon Presley sold the "LisaMarie" in 1978. The next owner (bussiness man)use this plane all over the world until 1981. EPE to buy back for placing on Graceland area.

Ok thank you, but what about everything inside the plane, was it like Elvis did it all the time, or was it re-done again after EPE bought it back :?:

If I'm correct, EPE does still not own the Lisa Marie plane.
EPE pays money for a long term contract..

The interiour must have been the same over the years.

To me, the visit to Graceland and this plane was very special.
Elvis loved his plane and it felt weird to walk down the aisle.

Cheers, RJ

The first time I went to Graceland the plane was still without plastic covering stuff inside. Obviously was well taken cared of.

Correct, the plane is registered to - and leased from Coker Aircraft Sales, Inc.

No, some parts were replaced already - and afterwards replaced to its original condition before it was sold in 1978 . When Vernon sold the plane, the owner at that time did not assume it would ever go back to Graceland.

As far as I know, that's correct. But do you have any additional information on this contract?

A friend of mine notified me of this thread here on the FECC board because of a thread I started on the plane on aek (news:alt.elvis.king) awhile back.

Here's the URL to the thread: http://tinyurl.com/2bqpsk

Please read the whole thread, this as many well-informed aek-posters contributed and corrected me along the way.

Here's a picture of (what is said to be) Elvis' Convair with its original
