Great pics....Especially the "smilling"pic's..

There's only one with such a great smile, and funny enough,the smile stayed that beatifull till the end! (unchained melody footage)

It was a huge event. The first worldwide satellite broadcast. Not the sort of thing you announced a few days before it takes place.

Well, he looked quite good, but sounded very unsure when he talked. Especially compared to his appearence at the press conference in NYC in june.

The reason he sounded 'unsure' has been covered plenty of times on this board...it's most likely because of two things...his schedule (he had just finished doing an early morning show at the Hilton) and also the fact that he was taking downers or sleeping pills.....

Yes....the audio is actually located on this very site (FECC) and the footage has been around for years...look in the "Interview Downloads" section for the complete MSG interview from the afternoon of June 9, 1972....
