If only I could decipher what is written on the side of the van roof' banner, then I would know where the shot was taken! It is safe to say it isn't the fall of '76 (December Vegas engagement) because it looks like either Hebler or West (Red) is standing over to the right hand side of the candid!

I thought due to his size and the rainbow on the Hilton banner being consistent with the December 1975 menu this was from that engagement.

Check out the guy at the bottom of the stairs. Same guy as in the Hilton-photo and wearing the same clothes.

Notice the magazine Elvis is holding in his left hand. In the Hilton-photo you can see the magazine in front of Joe Esposito.

I'd say the photo is from Elvis' arrival in San Diego on April 24, 1976. The guy with the back to the camera in white might be Dave Hebler??

I could see that the sign on the van said the s..... hilton, but i couldn't make out the city. I kept thinking about Saracuese, but now you've said it, u can make it out on the banner.
