Great pix Funky!
Too bad they're not larger and in perfect quality

Would you guys please do me favour.
Look at Elvis' sideburns in the small black/white photo. Then follow the link for Elvis' arrival in Tuscaloosa the next day. Would you all agree with me that those sideburns are NOT at all alike.
Those Tuscaloosa pix are NOT from 1975. IF they're from Tuscaloosa then they're from November 14, 1971.
Don't believe me???

OK. Look at the rings in the fourth Tuscaloosa pic and the first colour photo on same page. Would you agree with me that Elvis wears at least three rings on his right hand. Can't see clearly if he has one on his little finger. Look at that red ring on his ring-finger. Did you EVER see Elvis wear so many and especially THAT ring in 1975. Now compare those rings as well as the sideburns to the ones from the November 1971 tour.

So Paul, and the rest of you guys and gals! Am I right that you better move those pix to November 1971? That's IF they-re from Tuscaloosa. The Texas stetson in one of the pix indicates they're from Texas and could be form the April 72 tour where I first put the photos until I read somewhere they were supposed to be from Tuscaloosa.

Sincerely
Brian

I am lost for words, Brian! You are right! Man, when will all this ever end! One revelation after another! The guy wearing the Texas stetson (if you didn't know) is none other, then the Ol' Bastard himself, Colonel Tom Parker!
Cheers!

And isn't that Vernon in the first colour pic between Elvis and the Colonel?? Could easily indicate that it was from "On Tour" in April 1972. Unless Vernon went with Elvis on the November 71 tour. Elvis did play Houston and Dallas on the Nov 71 tour.

Sincerely
Brian

Yes Brian, I can see Vern' standing around! This is freaking unbelieveable to be pushing the boundary out even further!

Looking at the Knoxville April 8, 1972 photos in the Candid Central I'm about to move the pix back to April 1972 which is where I had them placed when I first received those photos many years ago. Before I read somewhere they were supposed to be from Tuscaloosa.

If from April 72 only show in Texas was in San Antonio on April 17.

Sincerely
Brian

Brian!
I first saw these photos in one of Paul Lichters books, and they were dated june 3. 1975. And I just asumed that was the correct date, and he did look a little heavy as well...so. But looking at the photos from the day before and then the photos from Knoxville, I believe, Brian, that you very may well be corret. The jacket he is wearing is also in the same style, though not the same color as some of the before the show rehearsal shown in Elvis on tour. Another "mystery" solved?

This pic isn't from 1971 but from 1975. The other above are also from 1975, and concerning those he wore a lot of those type of clothes in 1975 ( also a bit in 1976 ) of different color and often with a blue or yellow shirt.

reference for the clothes : photograph on the back of the CD '' Fly Trouble '', and also the photo took in the TV ROOM in February 1976 for his police badge.

It's exactly from June 3rd 1975 in Tuscaloosa. On the same day he was photographed as he signed some autographs.

Now I´m confused. This photo is supposed to be from Tuscaloosa, June 3, 1975. And Elvis looks totally different from the b/w photos.

Fool,

You are actually right and the one you mentioned as from 1971 are most likely from 1971. Why ? I have one pic with another man taken in June 1975 taken the same day. This another man was also present in the group pic with the stripped jacket, and this person looks definitely older. Therefore it means a very possible 4 years difference between the two because of this man.

In conclusion :

- pic with the Red Phoenix suit are from June 3rd, 1975 in Tuscaloosa
- pic receiving the badge in a stripped jacket are from November 1971
- pic at the beginning of this thread are from June 2nd, 1975

Joern,

It doesn't matter anyway as one man attending in both situation looks definitely older on the one with Elvis wearing the red phoenix suit. I guess the guy didn't age that fast in one or two days. :o

His hairstyle for the Huntsville show was a bit different than this pic. This one is definitely from Tuscaloosa.

Actually, Leroy was the one who solved this mystery some time ago on another forum, and opened my eyes to see these b/w photos are from 1971. So thanks to him, he´s the man.

I'm am very surprised to read all this Tuscaloosa stuff. A couple of months ago I stated the same thing and nobody bothered to believe. Only The Fool was kind enough to look twice at the details.

It's not only in Elvis' hairstyle or the age of the police officer (who was out of active duty in 1975) but also in the clothes Elvis is wearing. Elvis wore the brown "Criss Cross Jacket" that he wore often during the November tour of 1971. It would not have fit in 1975. Also the style of shirts changed over the years. He's wearing the same shirt as he did in 1970 when he when he was photographed on the MGM lot signing autographs. He would sure not wear a 1970 shirt in 1975. On the shirts Elvis wore around that time the collar was lowered.

Leroy, The fool and everybody involved, this is truly an amazing revelation to 'move' candid images back (nearly) four years! Congratulations! Cheers!

I don't always get on the board to read all posts, so if any of you have date changes, PM me and I will look into it - I did not see your post from 2 months ago Leroy...

These things happens Paul. No harm done. I do not feel bitter about it because I always trust on the fact that one day things like this will be straighten out. By the way, is there a way to contact you directly because I have seen more dates on you photopage that are debatable.
