Joern my man, you just made my day.
Two early candids I had never seen before. Numbers 4 and 7. #4 is just WOW MAN!

#1 is from one of the King Creole sessions in early 1958, otherwise you're right about the dating.
#2 is from Chattanooga train station on July 4, 1956 while Elvis was on his way home from the Steve Allen show.

Please, please, keep them great photos coming. Especially the ones from the 50's

Sincerely
Brian

Just checked my 1957 concerts and #5 is not from Seattle. It's from Los Angeles October 28, 1957.

Great shots Joern,

shoot me if im wrong! but i believe number one is the Sept 56 recording sessions at radio recorders,
just a different day to the std ones we know! take a look at those sideburns! also its hard to see in this pic but the hair is not black, there is another pic from this set which gives further clues, such as clearer long sideburns and the rings, belt etc, but this is not yet published.
i think the jumper Elvis is wearing throws many to a king creole conclusion, and this picture had me stuck for awhile..

Joern, the new one you list on its own is 1953 according to Gladys `aged 18 taken at a local carnival`, source 1956 magazine ` the amazing Elvis Presley`! recently borrowed from a friend of mine 8) .

Hi Kevan!

This image may be from the 20th Century Fox soundstage session of August 24, 1956 but, if not, it's definitely from the date you mention, not January 1958.

Hi DJC!

its quite unfair of me to comment on an unpublished picture from this set, so i can only hope you will trust me on this. but in the unpublished picture mentioned it can clearly be seen that it is indeed Radio Recorders.

I agree that there is certainly a `love me tender` studio `look` about Elvis in this pic, which off course was only a week or so before this pic was taken. but this cannot be from the `Love me Tender` session as the picture shown here features two of the Jords.

Kevan, I actually had this session pic dated as Sep 56 but moved it to King Creole session due to the jumper as Elvis wears this exact same one during one of the other King Creole sessions.

Having only this photo of Elvis without too much to go at it's hard to tell but I'm willing to move it back to Sept 56 again if you have more proof to go at.

Some of those pix without too many clues are hard to date and this has had me puzzled for a long time.

Sincerely
Brian

... Ive been excluded from viewing any new images, posted here,

and elsewhere, 4 days now! Well, almost all old posted images, are gone

to! So I cant put my thoughts on the 56/ 58 photo here. Bummer!

Neither have I been able to view the last posted Dorsey shot, on the

Hecht thread. Hoping things will be back to normal, soon!

Hey! Good to see you post here, Mr Budd! You should do it more

often! Are you pleased, with the results of mastering the 1st album,

plus additional songs?! Looking forward to it!

Kevan, the Jordanaires was a huge clue I missed -- Sep '56 it is!

Brian, if you look at the Jan '58 images, it may be the same sweater, but Elvis also sports a striped shirt underneath it. You can see the collar quite clearly. Also, his hair is very dark, as are his eyes, perhaps enhanced by makeup.

Thanks Doc, I knew Elvis wore a shirt under his sweater/jumper or whatever it's called in the King Creole session. I just thought it could be from one of the other days. Not from the same session. But checking my photos from Sep 56 session I guess I'll have to move the photo back to one of the Sept 56 sessions.

Joern, Elvis had been out for a ride on his motorcycle that day and I guess that belt is to protect his kidneys. Photo is from April 19, 1957 and the lovely lady is Yvonne Lime.

If not related to his motorcycle gear, my guess is it's a weighted belt to aid with weight loss. My dad used to have one, they were heavy!

Doc, I just spoke to a friend of mine who's into motorcycles and he assured me that this is a typical belt that is worn to protect your kidneys. I don't think Elvis needed any belt back then to loose weight.

Funky, those are two great 1955 pix. You just wanna share them or you want them dated

So you only want one of them dated Funky!
Just kidding

First one is supposedly from St Louis during October 1955. Elvis played St Louis Oct 21-23, 1955. Could be from any of the shows.

Second is from last week of August 1955.

The picture of EP sitting on the horse reminds me so much of the 69/70 pics of him on his horse, except for the hair of course. Once again guys, brilliant pics!

Here is an interesting observation - now keep in mind I don't know which is the correct - mirrored image, but either way, we may now have here an image, of either Elvis' bedroom and/ or the Bodyguard - closet' room, with the window wide - open! I don't think I have seen any of these two windows opened! It may not be a big deal to you , but it sure as hell is to me !

The image is correct. Note the large dining room window, and the car in the driveway near the front steps.

#1 This seems to be the same shot as #6 in my original post. It also seems to be mirrored - in the correct way - imo. Possibly date seems to be July 1st 1956 in NY.
#2 Correct date anyone? Someone told me that it is from 1952 which I doubt, but maybe I'm wrong.
#3 Elvis and his mother in 1954.
#4 once again 1957 at Graceland (April 1957)
#5 unknown date (at least unknown to me, but I'm sure you guys know it well :D )
# 6-8 I scanned those pictures from a german Elvis book which was published in 1977 (written by Rainer Wallraf; it was the first Elvis book I could get my hands on when I found it at a library - bought it for sentimental reasons on Ebay one year ago) Have a closer look on what would be the girls faces  .

It could also be the music room end!
