Looks to me like the two bottom pics are taken from the same day as he has the same shirt and bandanna on, minus the jacket and hat.

Funky, my man, those are great pix.
At the end of July 1968 Elvis stayed inside for a couple of days and when he left for Apache Junction, Az., where the filming took place, he sported a beard. It's uncertain how long time he spent in Az filming but he was released from the film on August 28. It could be that some scenes were shot in Los Angeles before he was released so I'd say the pix of Elvis sporting a beard would probably be from the latter part of August 1968. On Aug 30 he is photographed at his Hillcrest home without the beard.
Joe Car! If you look closely you'll notice the scarf, or bandanna as you call it, is blue in the two last pix and black in the other pix.
Here's a pic with a multicoloured scarf.
