Is this Elvis???

Have had this for a number of years. From some book, don't remember the name.

Is this Elvis?? I´ve read stories of Scotty and Bill being late so Carl Perkins' band had to back Elvis up. Could it be???

Never saw a pic of Elvis with the guitar slung over on his back, though!!

with a Bear Family lp box set on Sun Recordings, mid to late 80s...

Its Johnny Cash, doing his EP impersonation, circa 1956... Looks like

the real thing, doesnt it?!

The Riffster is correct - that's Johnny Cash with Marshall Grant (bass) and Luther Perkins (guitar). This is Cash's celebrated Elvis impersonation. The way he wore his guitar across his back is soooooo cool!

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Now I can put the photo aside and stop wondering if it is Elvis or not.

I seen that picture. As a matter of fact there is a few more pictures from this same show. But as the others said that is Johnny Cash and The Tennessee Two.
