Thank you for posting this PEP, like everyone keep saying, you seem to have quite a few really rare photos on your hands. Please continue sharing them with us!

Here is one more from the same date, where he is posing with Brook Benton.

And His Music, gave out that information, long ago, in his mag. Trevor

is an expert on Sun. But I cant remember the singers name. But its not

Sorry Ger but Sis is quite right. That IS Brook Benton. The photo was shot by Ernest Withers who, among other things, photographed a lot of coloured singers in Memphis. The photo is on http://www.withers.uwosh.edu/beale_music.php

It is indeed Brook Benton, who later had the 1970 hit recording of "Rainy Night In Georgia," an Elvis favorite. Ger was thinking of SUN artist Roscoe Gordon -- no one's perfect!

Yes!!

Since no one's mentioned it, the image Brian posted is most significant as it's the only known photo of Elvis with Junior Parker (left) and Bobby Bland (right), two significant blues artists. And certainly Presley was a big fan of each, with Parker's SUN singles of "Feel So Good" and "Mystery Train" MAJOR influences on Elvis in his SUN period and beyond.
