little Beach Shack"...? Hes wearing the white pants and the boots, that

You can't mean that Ger!!! Shot the person who wrote "Beach Shack"

Well, I kind of agree with you. It's absolutely not one of Elvis' better songs but had he not recorded it we would've never heard him break up totally as he does on the outtakes on the FTD.

I just love those outtakes. It's obvious that Elvis it somewhat tired of those songs and it's absolutely wonderful to hear his humour and how he can't hold back his laughter.

Reminds me of the very first time I heard the laughing version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight." I was visiting Bristol Music Shop in Copenhagen, where I lived at the time. Stood there listening to the record with earphones on. And, like many others, I just couldn't hold back my own laughter when it cam time to listen to that song. The guy behind the desk looked at me, puzzled, as I was listening to Elvis. What was so funny on an Elvis record. I explained and he put the song on the loud-speakers and soon everybody in the store stood there with a BIG smile on their faces.

Elvis recorded a number of songs that we can always argue about but nevertheless, I kind of love them all. Growing up with the movies, going to the matinee on Sunday with the other kids watching Elvis in his newest movie, brought sunshine into my life back then.

So, let's have more of this kind stuff.

Brian

It says "Cornell" on the store sign in the background
Cornell, Ca. is situated in the Santa Monica Mountains 30 miles west of his 10550 Rocca Place hom in Bel Air, which is where he lived at the time.

Day-By-Day doesn't mention anything about Elvis' motorcycles during SPinout, however, Elvis had a trailer full of motorcycles driven out to Hollywood in late June for his stay in Hollywoood while filming Double Trouble and Easy Come, Easy Go.

Could the photos be from one of those movies in stead of Spinout???

Who's the girl sitting behind Elvis on his motorcycle?? Is she from one of the movies or just a fan???

It's Deborah Walley on the bike with him, Brian, so I'd say it was 'Spinout'.

Thanks Tits, if that´s Deborah Walley, then it´s absolutely Spinout.

Just found a photo in my collection where Elvis wears the same jacket as on the motorcycle-pix.
Enjoy!

Don't think so Funky!

Look at how the jacket in your pic has a white collar while the on the other pix it's the same as the jacket.

Great pic, by the way.

There's no ifs ands or buts--that's Deb Walley alright and there's a photo from that day in "Careless Love" and I think the book mentions that day but I've been page flipping and can't find it right off. I read Last Train/Carles Love about 2 years ago so I could be imagining it...
