These pics are from the July 8th, 1975 show. Elvis didn't wear the chokers on the first shows of the tour. He didn't use it on July 9th and on one of the Charleston show ( with the Red Phoenix ).

You're wrong about the Red Phoenix, being from 12th July (Charleston)
White Phoenix on blue jumpsuit - m/s Indian Feather - evening performance!
Both of these show Presley leaving the Daniel Boone Hotel, in Charleston, West Virginia and both clearly show 'chokers'!

I'm not wrong..he wore the Red Phoenix at the July 11th, 1975 show at the same venue and didn't have a choker.

Just goes to show that even an old timer like me learns something new every now and then. I just assumed that he wore it at every show during the July tour.

July 12th was the first time he started to wear the chokers on stage. Originally they were meant for private use. They came with the "Two-toned Street Suits" (aka "Penguin Suits"). Gene manufactured a couple more in a rush for the "Eskimo Totem Pole" and the "Chicken Bone". He would alter them for the remainder of the tour.
