milton berle show, exact date on these?

Hi!

All photos except number 2 (Oakland June 3, 1956) and last one (April 3, 1956 Milton berle show aboard USS HANCOCK in San Diego) are from June 5, 1956 Milton Berle show in Los Angeles.

That last pic from April 3 was great. Never saw such good quality photo from that show. Great!

A little note on the side.
Please don´t overload the board. I (and many others) love answering questions and try and date photos but with so many posts and different photos in each post it becomes more like a "have to" than a "WOW, this is great"
Like Funky said in another of your posts, it´s better to finish one post at a time than to overload the board.

Will try and answer some of your other posts along the way. It will however, not be all today or tomorrow.

Looking closer at your pic Jones, I just realized that it´s from the rehearsal to the Milton berle show and not from the show itself.

rehearsal bein earlier the same day i take it?

I can only guess that the rehearsal took place on the same date. Elvis flew to California on April 2nd. I don´t know if that means he flew to Los Angeles and then had to go to San Diego from there or if he could fly direct Memphis-San Diego but I don´t think so.

So most likely the rehearsal took place on the same date as the show, April 3rd.

Thanks for poiting that out, Brian.

Just double-checked with "Day-by-Day" which says that Elvis flew from Shreveport to San Diego on April 1, 1956.

The Memphis Press Scimitar from April 2 only says that Elvis "planed to California for an appearance tomorrow night with Milton Berle"

In the TV-program next day it says "Elvis Presley has flown from Memphis to California"

So that all means that Elvis probably flew from Memphis to Shreveport on March 31, stayed over and flew from Shreveport to San Diego on April 1. That way the rehearsal could easily have taken place on April 2nd.

Who says it´s easy to be an Elvis researcher,
