Lubbock, TX - Oct 15th and/or 16th '55!?

We all know Presley played Lubbock, TX at the Cotton Club and Hub Motors, on the 15th and the 16th, respectfully, but I was wondering, are these images from either of those two dates!

The right date for these photos is April 10, 1956.

Are you sure on the date?! (sincerely said!) I mean Lubbock is a long way from San Diego (April 4/5th)! I suppose Presley you could of went to Witchita Falls (April 13th), via Lubbock!

If you don't have Elvis Day By Day allready, I really recommend it. It is a great book, andvery helpful when it comes to dating photos. The books tells that on April 7 "Elvis flies to Denver to begin a new tour booked by A.V. Bamford".. and yes, Elvis was in Lubbox, TX for one show (plus one extra added show) on April 10, 1956.

Yeah, all those pix from April 10, 1956 in Lubbock. Elvis started out in Denver, Co on April 8, followed by Wichita Falls, tx; Lubbock, Tx; El Paso, Tx; Albuquerque, NM; Amarillo, Tx, flew to Nashville on the 14th and the down to San Antonio, Tx on the 15th followed by Corpus Christi, Tx; Waco, Tx; Tulsa, Ok; Oklahoma City, Ok; Ft Worth, Tx and Houston, Tx on the 21st before opening in Las Vegas on the 23rd.
A very heavy schedule.

Brian, that is a damn good read! Shame I never got myself a copy, but not to worry! One image (I already had!) I did end up dating (courtesy of your photo section) was the June 10th '56 candid in Tucson, Az! Here it is -
