... These show you, the colonel almost always picked the wrong one for the record covers! And why didnt Elvis told the old man to bugger off, and pick a better cover shot himself?! Didnt he care at all...?

Elvis looked so slim and handsome in the movie, but on these promotional pictures he almost looks like he was made out of plastic. Hollywood really started to drain the charisma out of Elvis... Too bad he never got the chance to sit with a photographer that really had the talent to capture the essence of Elvis. No wonder he grew tired of these sittings. When I look at pictures of e.g. Garbo, I see the potential of Elvis. They where both loved by the camera, but of course the Colonel, Mr Wallis and their likes never used that to the advantage of the art.
