Was this photo taken a fortnight after Elvis gifted the USS Potomac to St Jude's? That event was on February 14, 1964. Is this from March 1, 1964? And why is John Rich laughing so much? A joke from Danny Thomas, perhaps?

This may be from Memphis in 1961. Thomas wanted to see Elvis do a wheelie on that little Honda.

Thanks for this picture. I don't know when it was taken but as mentioned by Jaime1234, for me it corresponds to the end of February 64 or the beginning of March. Elvis rode the same motorcycle during the filming of Roustabout

You've never walked in that man's shoes or seen things through his eyes
Or stood and watched with helpless hands while the heart inside you dies
So help your brother along the road no matter where you start
For the God that made you, made them too, these men with broken hearts

Thanks to you. Every picture tells a (past or present ) story, but as with almost anything regarding Elvis, any additional picture, such as the one you kindly
provided, may tell not just a then past, then present but as in this particular case, a then half a century future story..

Me explico, as we say in Spanish., in March of 1964, when that photo was most probably taken, Paramount paid a ridiculous low price for the Harley Davidson-made black leather jacket used at various times during the film. It disappeared from the GENERAL PUBLIC's view only to resurface at an auction garnering a whopping $42,000 for the sellers in 2019. Here is a photo of the interior of the jacket. Wonder what those numbers mean, but it is certainly a Paramount item for Elvis Presley to wear. And he did.

All the best

I believe this is the courtyard outside the prison where Charlie Rogers was imprisoned.

Fantastic second photo. Priceless, as it is obvious Danny Thomas didnt use gel on his hair.

Thanks very much for information of these two pictures. Both are new to my eyes. I actually enjoy the movie Roustabout as well as the soundtrack. Appreciate the information.
