The guy with Elvis is promotor Pete Bennett, in the second picture is also singer Bobby Vinton.

Thanks for the share, as always. Whenever you make a post, it's something to look forward to!

Looks like a bunch of people already pointed out the image is cropped, leaving out singer Bobby Vinton. Both attended one of the first shows Elvis gave at the International Hotel in 1969, still haven't quite figured which one yet.

You can see that at least two photos were made. I wonder if the originals are in color. If so, I've never seen them. Notice Vinton is so tan he looks like a baked lobster! Yikes.

Bennett had kind of an amazing career in promotions, working with some of the biggest names in music and politics. Among other things, you can find photos of him with three of the four Beatles, and many others.

He worked a lot with Vinton, and they met a rather important dude just about a month before they visited with Elvis.

Whoops, I forgot that I did a whole topic on this photo a few years back. The one of the three of them made it into Billboard just a couple of weeks after it was taken! Pete Bennett really did have a lot of pals in the industry!
