Chrissie Hynde
Nice picture of Chrissie Hynde in concert wearing an Elvis tee shirt. Imagine, if Elvis had lived, a rock duet between those two! If I can dream ....

The article, about Jim Kerr and the massive 1985 hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by SImple Minds is really quite good.SteamrollerBlues on Thu Apr 12, 2018 8:57 am wrote:Here's the image for those who don't want to click the article.
I did some research, and the photo of Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders is from the San Sebastian Jazz Festival, in San Sebastian, Spain, on 7-21-2017 (Fri). Here's a better shot of the t-shirt:
Notice it's a photo of Presley from January 1970. That's right.

Thanks for the added picture doc! Both are nice but I really like that second one.

Re: Chrissie Hynde
I have yet to see her or "The Pretenders" in concert. "Back On The Chain Gang" was and is still such a great song. When I wasn't immersed in whatever Elvis album I was discovering at the time (mostly "Promised Land" in my senior year of high school), I was listening to "Learning To Crawl" which also featured "Middle of the Road".
Great photo!

Same here, I haven´t seen Pretendes live but I would love to see them.JosephC wrote:I have yet to see her or "The Pretenders" in concert. "Back On The Chain Gang" was and is still such a great song. Learning to crawl is a very good album with several strong tracks.
In addition to the ones you mentioned I would like to add Thumbelina and My city was gone. Great songs.
2000 miles ain´t to shabby either.
Cool t-shirt
