It's hard to tell what's going on in that photo, it's kind of fuzzy. It looks like he has sunglasses on.

Note that the photo appears to be from the January-February 1971 engagement at the International in Las Vegas, not Lake Tahoe.

Here's an example to use for comparison:

Is this photographer the Tina Yothers that played on Family Ties as Michael J. Fox's younger sister? Just wondering?

Elvisly,

Linda

Thank you Elvis for all the joy you brought (and continue to bring) to my life

The photographer is a man, not Tina Yothers.
I'm in contact with him trying to see if there are more photos of this particular show.

The photo si from January-February 1971. I bought 6 photos nine years ago or so for 1000 usd the photographer did not wanted to sell more than one because he was not happy with the quality of the scans as he sees himself as an artist and his photos like art. He has many scans as far as I know, if you offer enough money I am sure he sell.

At the International, as I surmised. Any idea of the show date?

No date as the photographer has no idea, but he was invited by Parker if I remember correct. It is not the opening show as this show is described in the Elvis at the International book page 80.

I have two photos, but the guitar is in the way see only white long fringe at the end of the belt. Elvis most lightly using the original designed belt.

I think I have seen those two photos. As you say the guitar is in the way.
I'm looking for a photo of the belt without the guitar in front of it. I did contact the photographer and offered him money. Got some response but after that silence. Unfortunately.

"Before you abuse, criticise or accuse - walk a mile in my shoes"

Rocky Balboa 2007
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits."
