In My Opinion there is not enough of this photo to re-create it.... it's too whited out... not enough facial features to work with...here's what i could do.. lol

I am currently working on the first pic you posted. Don't worry I haven't forgotten, just other stuff taking up my time at the moment.


I have now located some of the original shots of Elvis at Indianapolis before I worked on them, so here are some more before and afters. Like I said, please feel free to add my restorations to your personal collections:

Sure thing. Still working on your others at the moment. Trying a few different techniques to see what's best result. Hopefully I'll be done soon.

I like this topic. Of course spending 2 hours on lots of photo's can take up alot of time.

I am a real history fan so naturally I did this on one of the very early photo's of Elvis.

Note the one on the left was the way they published it.
My work is on the right.
I took about 20 minutes and got rid of all the white specks and dots all over this photo.
If I had taken even double that, I am sure I could have really cleaned it up.

Very samey, yes. I think you did the best job that could possibly be done on that one, as you say there's hardly any facial features (or other features for that matter) to work with on that one.

I have finished the first pic of Elvis and Priscilla you asked for:

I took it that the whitish smudge on the bottom left was damage, so I have eliminated it. I extrapolated various small areas of the surrounding grass to build up a composite, which I then blended in.

I also did restorations to both their faces, notably Priscilla's nose which seemed to look disjointed in the original. (I hope she would be proud of my attempt at correcting her nose!)
Elvis' face was easier to do than the nose. It's quite amazing how difficult it is to restore b/w photos, well this one was a learning curve for me, so thank you for giving me the opportunity. I only hope you are pleased with it.



I am also working on the others too, folks, so please bear with me.
