Re: Elvis, Martha Hairrisson and Janice Forbes - 1960
I assume early 1960, right after elvis was back in the usa....and dyed his hair black again......so april 1960 would be my guess.

Cute story. There is this information on the original Pinterest page:

It appears Lou Hediger took photos for the local Whitehaven Press newspaper, and that's where the article appeared in April 1960. It also looks like neither you nor the original newspaper article get the names correct. According to the daughter's book, the girls who met Elvis are Martha Harrison and Janis Forbes.Graceland, April 1960 | Photo by Lou Hediger (famous photographer from Memphis) Martha Harrison (13 yrs old) was a local celebrity from Whitehaven and this meeting was set up by Tom Parker, Lou Hediger and Martha's parents. There are pictures from other times when she visitited Graceland. Elvis also visited Martha's family. Some of these pictures can be found in her daughter's book "Elvis As We Knew Him" by Jennifer Harrison.
Martha got to sit in Elvis' car that visit, too.

Elvis left for Hollywood on Monday, April 18, 1960, so the photos must have been made sometime before this date, and probably sometime after the trip to Nashville on April 3 for his second series of sessions for RCA.
