Thank you for the share. Some nice updates to my versions of the photos. Photo 2, 13 and 18 are mirror-inverted.

The photo of Elvis having a scarf removed from his neck while kneeling is also reversed.

Thanks for the share.

Yikes. Did Philly fans who hadn't seen him since his visit in 1971 -- or even in 1974 -- feel a little dismayed?

Ron Galella is best known as a paparazzi, why he photographed this concert is curious:

Maybe he was hired by a newspaper to do it. A more typical example, from almost exactly two years earlier in Philly:

A little story behind this image was posted on FECC in 2008:

I looked through a book of photos by Ron Galella today, called "No Pictures". The photos are mostly of stars objecting to having their pictures taken by Ron, but there is one of Elvis taken on 25th June 74, (which we all know well - white shirt, sleeveless jacket etc) leaving the Philadelphia Hilton.

Ron tells this tiny story: Elvis was obliged to leave by the Hilton's front doors due to congestion on the kitchens where several banquets were being prepared that day. As he approached his limo he turned to Ron and said "Who are you with, Cat?" and Ron said "I'm freelance." He says it was the only time Elvis ever spoke to him...

The audio for this gig popped up a couple of years ago:
