Just last month I was reading an interview done with Judy sometime back. She described their relationship as brother and sisterly. She could have taken the road that many women in her position would have and lied or exaggerated it into a huge romance, but she definitely down played any of that talk in her interview. She made it very clear that it was all innocent. She says she spent a fair amount of time running around with Elvis and Nick Adams doing all sorts of things, just the three of them jumping into a car and driving around blowing off steam.

It's interesting to read a fan mag from that era and you get a completely different spin.

The photos are all taken at the New Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas in May 1956. Most are "new" to me.

Of course, the cover of Carnival magazine features someone definitely not Judy Spreckels.

I love how the article throws down the gauntlet and says they are engaged. That, of course, was untrue.
