(Hey! You gonna buy that issue or just look at it?)
Let's make this a growing thread to archive the magazines
in Elvis' career/lifetime that he graced the covers of and/or
was a featured article therein.
These ol' vintage periodicals are the ancient artifacts of

Highs and Lows of the SIXTIES
Here, Elvis is important:
Here, Elvis is barely important:
Elvis' name just barely makes it onto this cover
coz there were so many BIGGER names and faces to promote
at that time in the "celeb scene, man"

Awsome collection GG!
My dad collected every magazine that had Elvis on the cover from the 60's on. A lot of them spark a memory, as a child I used to poor over the magazines endlessly. I remember he kept them in a big blue 70's style plastic suitcase.
Good memories, I wish he was still here with me (he died in 96 at 47) I would have him a computer hooked up and he would be on here more than me I bet....lol. He really missed out on a lot in the Elvis world. I can only imagine how excited he would be to know that he could have the Birmingham concert on cd that him and I attended together.
Oh well....sorry, I get wishy washy when it comes to my dad.

I hate to steal the thunder away from ya GG, but that last post just proves Elvis did a fine job molding Prissy into a fine piece of @ss.

That magazine reminds me of the one I almost had. I tried to bid on a copy of Photoplay Magazine from May 1968 with Elvis and Priscilla and Lisa on the cover (it's a mag cover that is actually hanging on display at graceland--I've seen it in photos)--it went for $70!! I bid right up to the very end...vintage magazines are so addicting.

When I was a kid in the late sixties and early seventies, I used to buy all of these magazines. The stories were hilarious, I remember one where a lady said she was in line at the supermarket and recognized EP as he was standing in line buying some milk. Naturally he had sunglasses on but he did notice that she spotted him and put his finger to his lips, so she didn't let on that it was him. What was great about this era was the awesome photos of EP during this time, Priscilla for that matter as well. There was no couple during this era that were as nice-looking as they were, truly incredible.

This is the mag/rumor that Elvis angrily rants about in '74 Desert Storm Vegas show.
I came to post it here...
re-read Sue's post and nearly lost it.
I miss her a lot.
