Jackson was a great performer and singer when he was a kid. he didn't age well in voice or looks or behavior. Its great to see new things can be found out by unreleased shows by Elvis after all of these years. :)

It is fascinating -- both artists were flying high with their careers -- The JACKSON FIVE with Michael Jackson were pop R&B heavyweights and Elvis not far from his worldwide ALOHA success. It must have been incredible for the Jackson boys to witness the king entering the elevator . . . It sheds more light on the captivating Tahoe period.

Credit to the doc -- also of note is Trini Lopez attendance at one of the shows, maybe we will get that one from FTD one day ...

Thank you Doc! Very interesting. One thing that strikes me is when they claim that Tahoe is "nearby" Vegas. I have driven from Tahoe to Las Vegas. That´s quite a drive and I would not call it nearby.

It's about a one-hour plane flight.

They sure have!

And he was in good form May '74 . . .

Well, to be honest, the May 1974 Tahoe performances were rote, but at least they were professional. Perhaps he recalled how he dropped the ball the year before.

Hopefully we will get a show that's just a little more than rote --- we've got two to judge listen and enjoy ...

They werent any more or less rote than all other casino shows.

My research indicates the Jackson 5 in this time frame only played the venues noted in my opening post.

And Bruce Jackson managed the sound for the Jackson Five in July 1973 for their Australian and New Zealand tours.
