or any proof to suggest that some pro shot filming was done at any of the 6 shows ?

Lets hope a nice mix was at least done for the soundboard.

The Elvis words and thoughts always be taken into account (not only his music).
Thanks Doc.

Thank you both for your kind words.

Mike C wrote:If you want to get a sense of what Elvis playing guitar on "One Night" would have sounded like in the Houston Astromdome, check out Madison's "Closing Night" cd since he included it in his Feb. 23, 1970 closing show.

You are correct -- the arrangement is typical for 1970, as heard in even better quality in the three August shows issued from multi-track (11 MS, 12 MS, 13 DS).

Of course, in Houston you also get Elvis playing that beautiful 1964 Gretsch Country Gentleman electric guitar:

It seems very likely show were captured by some kind of in-line source, but not by RCA.

According to U.K. fan Maria Davies' notes, Elvis was the eighth event of the day, with event number seven being a "Chuck Wagon Race"!

IIRC, Davies is the original source for all six audio tapes of these amazing performances.

EVENTS EACH DAY for ELVIS Show= Eleven. (11) ~ ELVIS was EVENT Number 8.

*EVENT #7 = A CHUCK WAGON RACE around the Rodeo arena area.
(This was done because it would divert everyones attention, while they got Elvis out of the Bus into the Open Top Red Convertible)
*First (for each show) They would tow the Circular Stage into position, the technicans connected up the cables.(from the Roof)
*The Stage revolved not in a complete cirfcle but made an 80 degree turn to the left & then the same to the right.

*Suddenly the lights went out and the Spot Light was focused on the Red Car! Elvis was then Driven onto the Field
*The Vehicle cruised quite fast, anti-clockwise around the outer area of the Rodeo field, close to the Front Rows of the circle.
*From a Front Row seat Elvis Passed only a few feet away from you, for a Brief moment (very exciting Show Part)
"ELVIS was standing up next to the Driver, waving as he passed by.

*ELVIS ALMOST COMPLETED A FULL CIRCULAR DRIVE AROUND THE RODEO AREA
*THEN the Open Top car turns towards the centre of the Field.
*At the Stage Elvis exits onto the Rodeo surface, walks up a few steps onto the Stage.
