How wonderful. Two of the 3 most creative people in Elvis' career (the other being Sam Phillips) being given the shaft after giving Elvis his 2 greatest post 50's artistic successes. What a man selfless man that Col was!

Clearly the Colonel didn't want anybody involved with Elvis who Elvis respected enough to go against the Colonel's wishes. Remember what the Colonel said when Elvis cleared everybody out of the 69 Memphis sessions, including the Colonel's people. "Let him fall on his ass!" I bet the Colonel took the money that was made from the album sales though!
