As I've said more than once on this forum, it would be great to hear this show in it's entirety. For 1976, Elvis is in excellent form. The partial audience recording released a few years back has Elvis in a great mood and he sounds to be "medication-free". I understand a soundboard exists for this show... would be a great release.

I have a problem with the claim that the second Eugene show was added.
I don't think so. There is nearly no precedence for this.
Elvis' tours were usually set up with no "days off" for Elvis.
They never left open days, so I think it was planned from the start.
I can't think of any tours off hand from the 70's that had an open day off.
So, since i live in Oregon, I went to the library to check up on this.
Our libraries hardly have anything.
I did find the article that pertains to this thread but I did find somthing else.
I searched for Elvis in the other Eugene paper, the Daily Emerald.
I found one article dated October 10th, 1976.
Since they don't have the article to read or on microfilm, all I have is the Headline, but
it does give us a clue.
"Boyd insists AD hold both Presley shows".
This tells me that as of Oct. 10th, 2 shows were planned in Eugene at the end of Novemeber.

1976 is the year that keeps on giving.

Elvis was busy when on tour in 1976, 1977. After a poor April 30, 1977 show in St. Paul, it was reported he may have caught cold while jogging around our Lake Minnetonka before the show. This is just as likely as him walking the beaches of Florence and chasing sea gulls. I wish he had engaged in these healthful activities.

Should not threads like this be in the proper section?
Elvis In The Media
You can add here the info of Elvis in the media

I always thought the media section was for current articles or Television shows upcoming.
Since this is vintage stuff, it falls under all-elvis.

How bad can you get, (according to those who claim so) how great can you really be, (according to those who claim so) and how can you go on and not keep going, (when they all come out and fill the seats) how foolish was he? (according to all those who were not there?)
