Installing A New Motherboard - Importing Bookmarks?

I have been having issues with my computer giving me "beeping" noises - both on Windows 7 & after the upgrade to 10 recently. Well, it just so happens that the issue is that I'm going to need a new motherboard for my 7-year-old PC! I hate it because I'll have to re-do the Windows 10 free upgrade AGAIN - and the first time was a pain in the ass, nearly. However, this time I'm a bit luckier. I have a copy of 10 on my external HDD and I'm hoping that Chrome will remember my bookmarks.

However, if Chrome somehow fails to remember my bookmarks, how do I "save" bookmarks to re-import them into Chrome??

The motherboard is the same type of motherboard that came with the computer.

Any suggestions about the bookmarks would be appreciated.

Tony those Beep noises are usually caused by a dead bios battery. It's the battery that is the flat round (watch battery type) #GR2032 3v. found on your motherboard. Changing this may correct your problem.
When this battery goes dead your motherboard cannot store it's bios settings after restarts and will give those beep errors as warnings that memory losses are evident in the bios.

Thanks, PL. I had the motherboard changed entirely recently and that stopped the issue with the beeps. Everything was fine until a couple of days ago when the "Start" button on the front of the case stopped working entirely. My Stepfather and I checked everything that we are/were supposed to and still got the same results. I can't afford a new computer at the moment. The computer I have right now (and have had for about seven years) is a Dell Inspiron 620s. It's more or less an "entry-level" computer but it does what I need it to do but I know that it ain't going to last me forever and that I will have to upgrade to a better system sooner or later.

Going off-topic for a bit: I'm hoping that I can get the "Start" button issue resolved and get it working again because I want to start looking for things that I'm going to need for my Ronnie Tutt drum replica build since I stupidly recently lost out on a great deal ($650.00 for everything but cymbals/cymbal stands & the snare drum). There's a friend of mine in Texas who told me that he has some stuff that he'll sell me (8"/10"/12" concert toms & 14" & 15" rack toms) to "get me started" with the build so I'm going to try to take him up on his offer before the parents possibly change their minds about me having a drum kit. I've been pretty depressed and disappointed that I lost out on the previous deal because I couldn't keep my mouth shut about the mess I created regarding the first kit.

I should correct my last post. I said that my Dell Inspiron 620s was nearly seven years old - that's incorrect. It's only four years old.

Hi Tony. I am just hopping about, looking at topics.

I guessed it was a Dell even before you mentioned it. It's the worst.

If you get a new one, do NOT get a Dell. And then look for the machine that best serves your needs. Check out reviews. Because gamer-level machines today are on the endangered species list. You might want to consider a reasonably priced Chromebook style "tablet." They are really laptops, in my opinion. Limited, but convenient. Samsung just entered the fray. They used to make marvelous laptops!
