Suddenly the sound on my windows 10 is very low. I can now turn the volume up to 100%, but the output is only about what is was at 20 or 30% before.......means that I can`t hear the music as loud as I wish to
Anyone know why....and what to do about it?
I didn`t do anything to make it become this way, but I am thinking that it may have come with some kind of Windows update......don`t know.

Re: Low volume, windows 10
Does it affect all programs? I mean, have you checked your music programs volume as well as your system volume, I only ask (I know it seems obvious) but I once had a similar problem with iTunes, only I hadn't noticed I'd inadvertently lowered the volume to mute in iTunes because I'd always used the system volume. Just a thought...

Re: Low volume, windows 10
Yes it does affect all programs and I`ve tried to see if I could adjust somehow on Realtek HD Audio, but I`m not sure how or if I can do anything there.....other than turn up and down the volumen. Problem is that the highest volumen is very low. When In Rome wrote:Does it affect all programs? Yes I just did that, and now the sound is back as good as it was.......Thank you. Now I just hope it will stay that way.The Pirate wrote:Have you tried system-restoring to the point before the problem started?

Re: Low volume, windows 10
Next time before you format right click on your volume icon (down by clock) and click on "playback options" the level adjustment will differ there than what your main volume control in the taskbar is set at.
may save you some time.
