checksum error in rar files

is there any software that is free ,that will open the rar files or check them

When I use win rar it says there's a checksum error

Hmmm, not sure how to help you there. Perhaps the file itself is corrupted? Anyone else?

I use RAR Frog. If it doesn't work, then I would agree that there's probably an error with the file.

Ken you can also use WinZip it's actually the #1 file compressor/decompressor
