Playing .ram files WITHOUT RealPlayer???

Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:57 am

That's all. How can I play .ram files without having that nasty, buggy program on my disk? I mean, I got a refund last December. (Perhaps one could redownload or reinstall version 15, but I don't want to.)

Thanks in advance,

Instruction Playing Real Media Files With VLC

1 Go to http://www.vlcapp.com/jump/vlc-free-m/? ... source=msn to download the latest VLC media player.

2 Select your operating system from the links on the page.

3 Click the link "Download VLC" to start your download

4 Open your download and install the full version of VLC media player.

5 Drag the VLC icon onto your desktop to copy the program onto your computer.

6 Run the VLC program by double clicking on the VLC icon.

7 Select "File" from the top menu, and choose "Open File" to run your Real Media (.rm) file.

8 Select "Browse" from the VLC "Open File" menu.

9 Find and click your Real Media file, then select the open function to play your file.

Best there is here rjm without using the dreaded Realplayer.
