Touch Devices and FECC Buttons

Postby rjm » Sat Jun 15, 2013 2:56 am

I am on an IPad right now, and it's very sensitive. So, I accidentally "hit the button"! You know, THE button, and then quickly hit the back button, and hoped it didn't "stick." Perhaps that button should be placed in a safer location? Because when you're scrolling on some of these devices, it's very easy to to touch the wrong thing, which wouldn't matter with a mouse.

Anybody else ever have a problem with that? Touch something on the screen you didn't mean to?

What button might this be, for those of us who do not own an iPad?

It's universal. The one with the exclamation point. I was just happily scrolling around, and up pops a new page saying "please explain why you want to report this post." I felt like I'd just accidentally electrocuted someone! (I hit the back button on the browser, hoping it didn't take.)

See, on my phone, I use the S-Pen; it's like a mouse. But the IPad is truly a touch device, I've discovered. (It wasn't my idea; it came along with something else. Actually, my dad got a new car, and they give out an IPad to "learn" the fancy new screen. He had no use for it, so I got it! I felt very guilty about Foxconn, and everything, but hey . . . it was free. Well, either free or VERY expensive.)

Anyway, it's easy to accidentally hit that button, while scrolling. (This is getting embarrassing.)

Apparently, you have to fill out a form before a report (!) is taken on any post, so no need to worry.

Thank you. My heart did skip a beat when it happened. I don't even remember who it was.
