There is a firmware update, but this looks more serious. And I can't download it anyway.
Any suggestions? Before I buy a new one?

It's still bad tomorrow, must call Time-Warner. The TV is unaffected. Something is really wrong. I'm on my phone: 4G now. Gotta do something!
Thanks again.

Knocked on the door, and his gadget told him to go to a room upstairs. Turns out an extension cable connected to a small TV was wreaking havoc! A Radio Shack cable. Hard to believe!
He found a long cable in the truck and replaced it.
He'll be around next week to ping the modem, but so far so good! (I don't want to jinx it.)
How about that?
